Capital Connections
Capital Connections help connect MWBEs to bankers and bankers to MWBEs. TBA’s objective with Capital Connections is to assist MWBEs with establishing banking relationships and to receive “straight talk,” firsthand knowledge and insight into capital matters from financial entities.
Capital Connections are generally hosted and sponsored by a financial institution and may be held at its premises. Participating entities may include a: senior small business relationship manager, small business underwriter, SBA lender, alternate lending source(s), factoring representative and an export-financing representative.
The programs are one and one-half hours in length and may be held in the morning, as a lunchtime meeting or after hours. Time would be segmented for networking, an accessing capital presentation, panel discussion and Q&A, and one-on-one connections with MWBEs who have previously requested a one-on-one session. Private areas would be established within the facility for each MWBE to meet with the above stated participating entities as a group or team, as it were. Each one-on-one session is five minutes in length.
